Accountability & Transparency

As equal custodians, governance has to be co-created and upheld by all of us, including the state. Governance cannot simply be consumed, and while technology strengthens the bond between samaaj and the sarkaar that ensures our rights and entitlements are honoured, it also crucially allows for new methods of interaction that reimagine a more vigorous democratic engagement.

A resilient samaaj is also one that is able to drive equilibrium and accountability at the intersection of states and markets. The opportunity is to see transparency and accountability as starting points and not always ends in themselves - that in a participatory democracy the samaaj engages in co-creating governance, rather than merely demanding them, and engagement models.
